Evi has an international background in theatre spanning multiple disciplines (acting, theatre education, mask work, Teatro Natura, Teatro Territorio), which shapes her work in art and cultural education.
She is the president of teatroZAPPAtheater MeranO and develops site-specific, multilingual, intergenerational, collectively devised theatre productions in the spirit of Teatro Territorio, including projects in post-conflict Bosnia and in Basilicata for Matera 2019 – European Capital of Culture. Her work centers on contemporary issues: theatre should provoke and guard against indifference, because human beings remain truly alive only as long as they do not become indifferent.
When working with young people, Evi draws on participants’ linguistic diversity to enrich their shared artistic process. For adults, she offers workshops in mask work, physical theatre, and theatre education.
