Maria played a key role in building up senior theatre in South Tyrol as a staff member of the Südtiroler Theaterverband (STV). She is a trained theatre educator and has specialized in cultural geragogy through extensive practical work and a wide range of continuing education programs.
For Maria, theatre work with seniors means starting from the needs, themes, and concerns of the participants and developing plays collaboratively with them. A methodological focus of her work is reminiscence theatre, biographical theatre, and object theatre.
Maria leads several senior theatre groups across the region, travels to international festivals with her productions, and has brought home multiple awards.
The STV’s international senior theatre festival “EntFalten” in South Tyrol has already been held seven times under her direction and organization.
As a lecturer, Maria has taught in the field of cultural geragogy and worked with the Bund Deutscher Amateurtheater (BDAT).
